Valencia

There are two official languages in Valencia, Valenciano, the regional language of the Valencian Community and Castillian Spanish, the official language of Spain. Both are legally recognized by the 1978 Constitution and the 1982 Statutes of Devolution for the Valencian Community respectively.

Torreblanca

Torreblanca, a modern town of almost 5,000 inhabitants, is situated 36 kilometres to the north of Castellón. It enjoys a very pleasant climate, even in winter, as the coastal mountain range that runs through it stops the penetration of cold winds.

Torrenostra, accessible via a straight road, is an old fishing village with an excellent beach. It is currently being expanded and developed as a tourist and summer holiday resort.

It has a beach with fine sand, clean and clear waters and offers all the necessary services and facilities.
In addition, you can enjoy an extensive coastal promenade as well as a spacious landscape garden area and unlimited parking facilities.

Climate
It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with a pleasant average annual temperature of 17º C. In addition, the Sierra de Irta acts as a screen to prevent the penetration of cold air, giving it shelter from northerly and easterly winds.

Sports
Nautical sports: Torreblanca is situated between two well-known Marinas:

  • Alcossebre: 8 kilometres to the north.
  • Oropesa del Mar: 20 kilometres to the south.

You will find a wide range of facilities in both: sailing school, diving club, boat hire, etc. In addition, you can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the Marinas.

Torrenostra has three of the best golf courses on the Mediterranean within a radius of 45 kilometres. The Torreblanca Golf Club is also currently being planned.

El Prat de Cabanes – Torreblanca, declared a National Park in 1994, it is located on a coastal plain that runs between the town boundaries of Torreblanca and Cabanes.
It is an old lagoon separated from the sea by a narrow seashore and is home to an important aquatic bird reserve.

Sierra de Irta National Park: The Sierra de Irta is recognised as being one of the most beautiful spots in the region of Valencia, with its hilltops populated by a typical Mediterranean forest which descends towards the sea, to a practically unaltered coastline that stretches for 12 kilometres.

Dénia

Dénia, situated in the best area on the Costa Blanca, in the province of Alicante, enjoys an incomparable background with over 20 kilometres of beaches, an average of 320 days’ sunshine per year and an average temperature of 18ºC.

It is an important and active port (harbouring a fishing area, nautical club and sports marina) dividing the Denia coastline into two separate parts, known as Les Marines and Les Rotes.

To the north, the coastline stretches out along 10 kms., with huge beaches of the finest white sand which have, amongst other things, made Denia famous. Year after year, these beaches receive the European Union blue flag as a prize for their impeccable conservation and the quality of the services they offer.

The port, as well as daily ferries to Ibiza, offers services of light sailing, cruising and deep-sea diving classes, and also boat rentals.

To the south, with the Montgó Natural Park as a backdrop, the coast becomes steeper with many cliffs and rocky bays of transparent water, continuing down to the Natural Marine Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio, the perfect setting for those who love underwater diving. Sports Harbours
Denia Nautical Club. Its mild climate and proximity to the Balearic Islands make Denia’s nautical club a must for sailors from all over Europe. The port of Denia is just 48 miles from the Balearic Islands, so sea lovers from all around Europe must be sure not miss the chance to visit it.

Monraira is a quiet municipality on the Costa Blanca area with an important network of tourist services active throughout the year. The coast’s position and the surrounding mountains allow its microclimate to guarantee an annual average temperature of 18 degrees.

Environmental awareness has been one of the town-planning policies of this municipality. This allows 2.000 ha of green native, natural and protected space including vineyards and a pine grove.

The different residential areas that populate this municipality are placed within the natural environment with more than sufficient access to roads and highways.

The fishing port in Tuelada, Monaira, is currently the main commercial and coastal service locale of the municipality. Monairas has 8 kilometers of sandy beaches, such as the Portet or the L’Ampolla, and quiet rocky coves like the ones in Andragó or the Cap Blanc.

In addition, there is a complete network of golf courses in the province of Almería to satisfy the most demanding and varied tastes.

Nautical
The Almerimar Marina is one of the biggest in Andalucía, with over 1,000 moorings.
In addition to offering the most complete and modern services, such as a Sailing School, a large part of the local social life is centred around the Marina.

Almerimar is in a privileged position for visiting the Punta Entinas National Park, either on foot or horseback, thanks to its two Riding Clubs.

The natural surroundings of Almerimar
In an environment of incomparable wild beauty, in one of the most untouched areas of Almería, there is an oasis of land and water that is bursting with life.

Almerimar is set in a privileged landscape, comprising an extensive strip of land sprinkled with small lagoons and rich and abundant flora, fauna and scenery.

  • The Almerimar lake forms part of the Almerimar “Breezes Promotion” and comprises a very important natural refuge for the conservation of aquatic birds. Its two central islands, that harbour each of the interior freshwater lakes, form an impressive scenic ensemble.
  • The Punta Entinas National Park is a true natural treasure, boasting a very special and exclusive beauty.

It is made up of three very different landscapes: beach, salt plains and lagoon. It stands out for its special beauty and the variety of bird species that live and roam there: Cinnamon Teal Ducks, Red Shoveler Ducks, storks, mallards, pink flamingos and a rich variety of other species. In addition to the rich flora and fauna that can be found in the park, it also offers numerous other attractions (fishing, underwater archaeology, inexhaustible photographic opportunities and walking paths).

El Ejido boasts one of the few untouched coastlines of the European Mediterranean and offers unbeatable walks in the vicinity of the residential areas to dunes and lagoons with flamingos and other protected species.

Beaches
The beaches of El Ejido have been awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union ever since this scheme was conceived to recognise environmental quality and a high level of facilities.

  • Almerimar: There are two beaches that surround the town that span 3.5 kilometres and are 100 metres wide. They offer full facilities: showers, toilets, rubbish bins and a thorough cleaning service.
  • Ensenada de San Miguel: 2.5 Kilometres from Mar Azul Campsite, it is an ideal beach for windsurfing the whole year round and the setting for some important sporting competitions.
  • Guardias Viejas: 3 kilometres of beach surrounding a village of the same name, it is also ideal for fishing.
  • Balerma: A traditional fishing village with 6 kilometres of beach, the centre is bordered by a promenade and a large untouched beach together with coastal dunes
  • Punta Entinas: The coastal boundary of the Natural Park, it comprises 10.5 kilometres of untouched beach with incomparable scenery made up of dunes and vegetation. As it is a protected area, it does not have facilities or road access, but it is a great option for walks and coastal sailing trips
